Cervical Dysplasia
Cervical dysplasia is caused by a sexually transmitted infection with a common virus, the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). Cervical dysplasia can lead to cervical cancer; the third leading cause of cancer death in women. In the U.S., cervical cancer remains the sixth most commonly diagnosed cancer. The Johns Hopkins Cervical Dysplasia Center focuses on the management and prevention of cervical HPV disease.
Make an Appointment
If you have had an abnormal Pap smear, obstetrician/gynecologists with our Center are available for gynecologic checkups and second opinion visits, as well as evaluation to determine if you are a good candidate for clinical trial participation. Please fax a copy of your most recent pathology report to 443-769-1205.
To make an appointment for a colposcopy and/or pap test with one of our physicians at the Johns Hopkins Hospital or the Greenspring Station, after faxing your records, please call 443-997-0400 to make an appointment.
Dr. Connie Trimble’s clinics are on Tuesday mornings (Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center), and the first Friday of every month at Greenspring Station.

- The Tenfold Forty, an organization of 40 professional women, presented a check for $9,000 to Connie Trimble, M.D., for her clinical research in the treatment of HPV-related cervical cancer.
