The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center offer a wide variety of outpatient, inpatient and emergency psychiatric, mental health and addiction services for children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults.
Children, Teens and Young Adults
We offer treatment for attention difficulties, learning problems, school difficulties, depression, drug and alcohol abuse, poor social adjustments or behavioral problems. Patients are generally under 18 years of age but we also treat young adults. Spanish-speaking therapists are available. We accept medical assistance and some private insurances. We offer treatment for a wide range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, coping with stress and improving relationships. We also offer specialty care for more complex problems such as bipolar disorder and serious depression, schizophrenia, psychological issues related to obesity, memory loss and dementia, and sleep problems. Patients receive comprehensive psychiatric assessments and medication services as needed, as well as individual, family and group psychotherapy. We accept Medicare, medical assistance, and some private insurances.

We treat individuals suffering from alcohol and drug use problems with and without other psychiatric illnesses with both standard outpatient care (1–3 hours per week) and intensive outpatient care (10 hours per week).
