Fully accredited by the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), it is physically located on the campus of Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and offers four distinct training pathways.
The Fellowship Training Program in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology at Johns Hopkins was established in 1983 and has trained over 200 physicians, educators and research scientists who are experts in aging. Many graduates have pursued exciting research and academic careers at a wide range of institutions, and others have become master clinicians and leaders in health systems. Our fellowship program is fully accredited by the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and is physically located on the campus of Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Geriatric medicine has been ranked #1 in recent assessment by U.S. News & World Report.
Our fellowship program currently has four distinct, training pathways:
The research pathway is open to Ph.D. or M.D./D.O. candidates;
the other pathways are specifically for M.D./D.O. candidates.
