Quincy Samus Earns IMPACT HCS Scholars Award
Quincy Samus, Ph.D., an associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, received an IMPACT HCS Scholars Award for the Health Care Systems Embedded Research Program: MIND at Home at Centene Corp. The grant was awarded by the National Institute on Aging Imbedded Pragmatic Alzheimer’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementias Clinical Trials (IMPACT) Collaboratory. The award will allow Dr. Samus to focus on evaluation of the Maximizing Independence at Home (MIND at Home) dementia care coordination program that has been implemented within its managed care health plans/products, to plan for a later multi-site embedded pragmatic demonstration project, and to work with Centene to develop a broader roadmap for partnership on enterprise-wide Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders care enhancement activities.
